Annick Vavasseur is a contemporary painter whose poetic inner landscapes give form to the invisible dimensions of human experience through color, memory and imagination. Color is at the heart of her practice, functioning both as a visual language and as a means of revealing emotional and perceptual realities.
Rooted in lived experience, her practice draws together memory, perception and imagination. Through layered compositions and subtle chromatic relationships, she creates spaces that invite contemplation and introspection.
She studied Visual Arts at Panthéon-Sorbonne University and has continued to refine her practice through drawing, painting, trompe-l'œil and observational techniques at Paris institutions, including the Louvre Museum, Paris Ateliers and the Ateliers des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris. For over two decades, she has pursued an ongoing exploration of painting, gradually developing the visual language that defines her work today.
Her work has been exhibited in France and internationally, including Europe, Latin America and Asia. Situated between abstraction and evocation, her paintings unfold at the threshold between the visible and the invisible, transforming the outer landscape into an inner territory where silence, memory and imagination meet.
