The first Inner Landscape appeared unexpectedly in 2015. While preparing the background of a painting, a landscape began to emerge — not from intention or imagination, not from a preconceived plan, but from something more instinctive.
It was as though the painting revealed itself through the process of its own making. Images surfaced slowly, unexpected yet unmistakable, as if they had always been there, waiting to appear.
Since then, painting has become less a way of representing the visible world than of exploring what lies beneath it. Each work begins with an intuition rather than a narrative. Some forms are sought, others emerge unexpectedly, as painting itself allows uncertainty, discovery and revision in a way other media cannot.
Rather than revealing everything at once, I leave traces and subtle details that invite the viewer to slow down and enter into a deeper relationship with the painting over time. Small presences, shifting forms, and quiet ambiguities gradually emerge through contemplation and observation.
My paintings often contain hidden elements, concealed beneath successive layers of paint. As the surface gradually reveals itself, fragments of memory, emotion, imagined landscapes and lived experience emerge, creating inner worlds that continue to unfold over time.
